From the Teti Inn to the Hotel Davanzati
Our story began in 1969 when our grandfather, Marcello, purchased the Teti Inn. Alongside Grandma Velia, Marcello transformed it into a warm and welcoming haven for travelers, managing the inn until 1981. This is the foundation of genuine hospitality that permeates the hotel, a legacy passed down through generations of the Fuzier Cayla family.
Authentic Tuscan style
The Hotel Davanzati is situated in a historic building dating back to the 1400s, beautifully preserving the charm of traditional Tuscan style through meticulous restoration. The hotel features elegant decor crafted by skilled Florentine artisans, drawing inspiration from the nearby Palazzo Davanzati, home to the Museo della Casa Fiorentina. This thoughtful design ensures an authentic Florentine experience without compromising on comfort.
A family tradition
Today, Hotel Davanzati is proudly managed by Fabrizio, the son of Marcello and Velia. Alongside his wife Patrizia and their sons Tommaso and Riccardo, he continues to uphold the cherished family tradition of hospitality. With heartfelt dedication, we strive to honor the legacy of our parents and grandparents, and we take great joy in sharing the wonders of Florence with our guests. Our welcome is warm and personal, a true reflection of the hospitality only a genuine family can provide.
